Struggling to find free counselling due to long waitlists?
Free Counselling Society Canada (aka FCBC) is a registered BC not-for-profit society S0078330, founded by a small team of experienced Counsellors and Counsellor Supervisors (aka Clinical Supervisors) in Vancouver BC Canada, to connect Clients located in BC, Ontario, Canada-wide and US with free counselling (video call or phone call) with no waitlist.
Services in multiple languages: English, Arabic, Cantonese, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Persian, Portugese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Urdu, Vietnamese and more.
Counselling is provided by volunteer student counsellors who are professionally supervised and near the end of their journey to being accredited. Our counsellors are committed to providing 12 sessions and more free counselling to each client.
HOW IT WORKS?
Clients:
If you want to seek help for free counselling, please call or message us your brief information and we will send the referral to our network of student counsellors. Counselling sessions are 45min (video call or phone call). Our counsellors are committed to providing 12 sessions and more free counselling to each client.
Counselling Interns:
Need more counselling hours for your practicum and graduation, and want to support your community? Apply & Join our network of counsellors. You must have an active practicum site and Counsellor Supervisor. If you don't, we can search our network of Supervisors.
Experienced Counsellors:
Getting too many pro-bono clients requests beyond your schedule? Refer your pro-bono clients referrals to our network of counsellors. Consider volunteering 1 hour a month of your time for pro-bono counselling
Disclaimer:
Our initiative is volunteer-run in a pro bono nature and doesn’t have any in-house staffing. Student counsellors sign up pro bono voluntarily. Donations are welcome and needed to pay for ongoing admin costs of this website.

What We Provide
PSYCHOTHERAPY for ALL
Our goal: Provide free counselling to clients in BC, Ontario, Canada-wide & US with no waitlist. Break down the financial barriers to counselling for ALL. Shorten the wait-list from months to within the same week. Call or Email us about your concerns.
INTERNS
Get access to opportunities to support your local and nation-wide community. Gain hours towards your practicum, graduation and registration. You must have an active practicum site or Clinical Supervisor. If you don't have a Supervisor yet, we can search our network of Supervisors.
EXPERIENCED COUNSELLORS
Pledge yourself to pro bono 1hr/week to help out the current mental health crisis and get a sticker from us. Getting too many requests for pro-bono counselling? Share the clients referral to other counselling interns so your clients could receive help in a timely manner.
